AS WE KNOW THE FIG TREE, NO ONE
The company was founded in 2014 with the aim of enhancing and transforming the prickly pear, blades and flowers, and citrus fruits of Sicily. We want to tell you our story by breaking it down into highlights that correspond to the elements of this incredible raw material.
THE FRUIT | 2014
Everything was born from an intuition. Everything was born from a garage used as a laboratory. The desire to create a product that could be new on the food market. A jam that was different, however. Starting with the fruit, the prickly pear.
The first choice was to divide the three colors of the fruit into white, yellow and red, and to broaden the range: the jam not only as a breakfast product, but also as a pairing with cheeses or gourmet dish preparations. We created combinations with roasted almonds, chili peppers, raisins and brandy.

It was time to change the fortunes of our company. So the project evolved, working on the last part of the prickly pear, its flowers. An infusion of prickly pear flowers and blades gave birth to Gin and Aperifico, Liqueur and Bitters.

Fico Essere Buoni is not a simple line of spirits, but the fruit of a long and passionate research that has encapsulated in a bottle the flavor and scent of Sicily: in particular, the fig
d'india, precious in all its parts, from the fruit to the flowers and even the shovel itself.
From the essences, distilled by hand in full respect of this raw material, came the lines of GinFico, the Amari e Liquori, the Aperifico and the Bitter. All made from prickly pear (blades and flowers) and scented with citrus fruits also all Sicilian.
From the meeting of prickly pear flowers and blades and coffee,
Caffico was also added to the Fig Being Good line; a low alcohol cold brew to be enjoyed cold to perceive its notes and taste.
